Among pandemic-era food delivery company changes, Walmart permitted 21-year-olds to purchase alcohol in 2020. Walmart now has almost 1,000 more alcohol-delivery locations than it did in late 2021.
According to a news release, 2,500 Walmart locations in 23 states sell alcohol. Some states only permit beer and wine delivery, while others prohibit total alcohol delivery.
Furthermore, some states restrict the amount and hours of liquor delivery.
In Oregon, Walmart may only deliver alcohol between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Deliveries in Alaska are limited to 5 gallons. Customers must be over the age of 21.
How can a 21-year-old who lives in a state where alcohol delivery is legal order alcohol from Walmart? The majority of Walmart grocery delivery orders are the same.
Select a delivery time and location on the Walmart website or app. Customers must show the delivery driver ID after placing their order to accept it.
Walmart drivers are not permitted to deliver alcohol to minors, the drunk, or those without identification.
Because drivers cannot deliver alcohol to schools, government facilities, or retail enterprises, send the order to an appropriate address.
