Candy lovers may now taste the rainbow creatively and empoweringly. Skittles released Pride packets in May. LGBTQ+ artists' images replace the packages' traditional design.
GLAAD receives $1 each package of these goodies. Funds will help the group and increase LGBTQ+ awareness. Skittles previously supported Pride by switching to rainbow hues from white.
Chief marketing officer of North America, stated, "This year, our artist partners are using their pack designs to share stories of LGBTQ+ experiences tales that have the power to create community, disclose identity and generate empathy."
Skittles.com/pride is accessible through QR code in 2023 pride packets. The artists discuss LGBTQ+ tales and how they relate there.
Skittles tweeted, "We're proud to partner with @GLAAD as they keep celebrating and elevating the LGBTQ+ community."
An Instagram artist reimagined Skittles packaging. The baby-pink artwork depicts a couple in front of a row of residences. It encourages "Be generous with your love."
"I wanted to draw an illustration that depicted the tender times of queer love," the artist wrote. I adore large and bold, but I also know that the most beautiful moments in love may occur in the everyday modest gestures."
kittles began working with GLAAD in 2020. The 2023 Pride packets have strawberry, orange, lemon, grape, and green apple tastes.
To assist the cause, fans may buy Skittles in five-ounce "share size" packs and 15.6-ounce "stand up pouches" until mid-July.
