Costco has just released a dessert masterpiece on its members, and you'll want to save space for this one. The bakery at the warehouse club has created a lemon meringue cheesecake, and the word from the culinary frontlines is...wow!
"This morning, for the first time ever, the Costco bakery brought out a lemon meringue cheesecake, and my husband's reaction was that this may be the best one yet, and I agree," TikToker explained.
"It's sweet, savory, and tart," TikToker said further. "The meringue from the bakery killed it." It was wonderful; it weighed about 4 pounds and cost $19.99."
"It's like that classic a cheesecake, almost like it New York-style with a lemon curd in between that and the meringue," TikToker said.
"It is really good," she said. "It actually reminded me of meringue that my mom used to make when I was a kid; she used to make lemon pies and things like that."
It's a delectable, delicate combination of fluffy lemon meringue pie and traditional, creamy cheesecake, and it's calling your name from Costco's frigid refrigerated bakery case.
"When I tasted each layer separately, there was nothing remarkable going on in terms of texture or flavor." "Everything was fine," TikToker wrote.
Costco's bakery debuted the fresh-baked Kirkland brand Lemon Blueberry Loaf last month, a hefty, thick dessert bread that costs $8.99 and weighs two luscious pounds.
Fans of the store's famous hotdog, which costs $1.50, were pleased to learn that sliced onions, which had been removed just before the covid epidemic, were returning.
The move was part of safety and hygienic procedures to avoid germ transmission, but it also caused a lot of backlash. Other condiments, such as ketchup, mustard, and relish, were held by the distributor, which irritated many consumers.
Fortunately, Costco changed its mind and said on May 1st, "Yes, we can confirm that Sliced Onions are returning soon." Of course, no dinner is complete without dessert. Could we suggest...?
